What to Wear on Valentine’s Day (for your Body Type)

Whattowearonvday_Square

If I were completely honest, I would admit that you don’t absolutely positively need to buy a new dress for Valentine’s Day. I mean, you could just as easily wear one of the cute dresses you already have hanging in your closet, or, if you’re really a rebel, jeans and a pretty blouse. And I won’t tell, I promise. But then you wouldn’t be able to buy a new dress and I don’t want to deprive you of the fun. So, to further justify this to yourself, just think of this as an uber-flattering superpractical dress that you can wear all season long. To church, to meetings (maybe with a jacket), even to those cocktail parties you’ve been meaning to throw. Send out the Evite, because now you have a dress. Talk about two birds with one stone!
You are so very welcome.
Add to this the fact that these dresses are also affordable, or in some cases, not un-affordable, and now a brand new adorable Valentine’s Day dress seems almost like a necessity. I don’t know why you didn’t think of it sooner, but there you have it. You need a dress, and I have just the one you’ve been looking for all your life.

So why all the red and pink, you ask? Because it’s Valentine’s Day, and it’s the law.

If you’re not a red-or-pink kind of girl, let me just point out that they are two of my very favorite colors. Still not convinced? Fine, I’ll throw in a couple of other colors, just to be nice. But I’m not happy about it.

Don’t have any big Valentine’s Day plans? No worries! Put one one of these gorgeous dresses and traipse around the house. Add heels. Act natural. Date nights will follow. I pretty much promise.

So here they are, my top picks for what to wear on Valentine’s Day, for your body type. And If you haven’t gotten your FREE Body Type and Style Analysis yet, what are you waiting for? CLICK HERE.

This is hilarious. I love your writing, Nada. You’ve also convinced me that this may be a good time to add a dressier dress I really love to my wardrobe. I looked at two of the 1(3) suggestions from Adriana Pappell on Amazon, and I saw this dress too: http://www.amazon.com/Adrianna-Papell-Womens-Blouson-Sheath/dp/B0167J861W/ref=pd_sim_sbs_193_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=31Hs6MDTfHL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL200_SR154%2C200_&refRID=19Q43GN04WYTXT59T9FT Could it possibly work for a 1(3) with a long v-shaped necklace? (I’m seeing long pearls with a knot at the bottom, or a vintage looking pendant or locket–is that crazy?) I’ve never worn a dress like this, but it appeals to me, and I wonder if it’s worth a try.

Thank you Alison! I ADORE this dress and it would absolutely be gorgeous on you. I think you nailed it with the accessories ideas too. A long vintage pendant or a knot of pearls would be stunning. That really does create the vertical line that is missing from this dress, but the other details (shape, waist definition) are spot on for your body type!)
