The Top Moisturizers Under $25

In the last couple of months, a few of my friends have approached me, asking for skin care recommendations. One is in her late 20s, and the other just turned 30. Both have beautiful skin that is prone to the occasional stress-induced breakout. Ashley has very fair, very dry skin, while Dee’s skin is a little more olive and not quite as dry. Both are looking for great moisturizers that won’t break the bank. Fortunately, there are plenty of great moisturizer options under $25. Here, a list for them, and maybe for you too!
Note: If your skin is superthirsty, a high-quality oil, used just as needed, can be an effective fix. Avocado, jojoba, coconut, rosa mosqueta, olive, and sweet almond oil all have their advocates, and their beneficial properties.

Top Moisturizers Under $25:

1. Jason Natural Fragrance Free Daily Facial Cream, $9.19: This pure, organic cream contains soothing herbal extracts and is perfect for very dry, sensitive skin.

2. Olay Complete Ageless Skin Renewing UV Lotion SPF 20, $14.99: This is a lighter lotion that offers great SPF protection and a smooth texture that works well under makeup.

3. Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum, Fragrance Free, $14.99: This is the moisturizer I keep going back to. I use the one with SPF during the day, and this version at night. I love the supersilky texture, the way it melts into your skin and absorbs quickly, and the fact that it’s fragrance free.

4. Murad Down for Defense SPF15 Moisturizer, $25: A great summertime pick, this lightweight moisturizer offers great everday sun protection and a bunch of antioxidants.

5. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream, Night, $19.99: Another personal favorite, this cream contains skin-improving retinol, the antioxidant benefits of Green Tea, and no fragrance. A great overnight pick for dry skin!

swallow’s nest in an edible gel form is supposed be good for the skin too. it gives that clear and pasty skin that we all love.

it’s mad expensive. my brother and i bought some for my mom for the Mother’s Day. it was like 400 bucks for like a 6-8 oz jar. Luckily we finally found the one of popular brand online ( and

dad said it’s really popular in indonesia. that a guy has to climb a high mountain to get the nest. that’s why it’s so expensive.

i mean why doesn’t the dude just look for the fabled korean swallow king, capture it and let it lay eggs full of gold! then, he wouldn’t have to work so hard and climb them high mountains.

I’ve been wanting Olay Complete Ageless Skin Renewing UV Lotion SPF 20, but not living in the States makes it really hard to get my hands on this baby. Is it really that good? Will it work on acne-prone skin?

I can’t even find it online on CVS or Target. has it but at twice the usual price. eBay’s also not helping because the shipping price loses its value as a great budget sunscreen-moisturizer. Too bad I don’t have a friend living at the States.

    Hi Frckls!
I do love Olay Complete and think it’s a great lightweight option for someone with troubled skin. I would recommend that you start using it every other day to start with to see how your skin responds. I would be happy to send you a bottle of it if you would write a review for me! Just email me your address to: [email protected] and I will drop one in the mail to you. Hope you are having a great day!

    Hi Nada!
Wow. I really appreciate you would mail it to me. I’ve been kinda concern about products ingredients and trying to avoid oxybenzone or dmdm hydantoin in other olay complete or neutrogena facial moisturizer. While this one ranks higher than the other for having the lowest health concern. Also the sun protection is good, and of course it’s dirty cheap (if you live in the States, that is).

Emm, by the way, I don’t quite understand with what you meant by writing you a review? What kind of of review do you need from me?

  5. says

Hey! By review, I just want you to tell me what you think of the Olay cream, in your own words, and allow me to post it on the blog. You can say whatever you want – just be honest about how you like it or don’t – in as many or as few words as you want. Email me if you are interested and I will send it out to you!
