Obsessing: Kico Kids

Since there is always something that I am obsessing over, I decided to start sharing my latest finds and fixations right here with you on this blog. Right now, I'm all about back to school, since my three year old starts preschool in five days. I've spent all summer scouring online boutiques for everything from clothes to shoes to lunchboxes, and you'll find the fruits of my labor posted here over the next few days.

Recently, I discovered a line of clothing called Kico Kids, by designer Tia Cibani, and now I can't get enough. Unfortunately, some of my must-have items are on sale and no longer available, so I will be scouring Ebay for them. Others are just making it into stores now, which means my wish list gets longer every second. I've already bought a few items, but since I've sworn off buying clothes in a 3T size (Lola hs more than 120 outfits in this size range right now!), I am only shopping for 4T and up. Anyway, here's what I'm checking out from this hip yet classic line.

1. Jacquard Dot Dress in Silver, $198, Barneys New York: So chic, but maybe a little too old for Lola? I can see this on my six-year-old niece, Isabella. link

2. Ruffle top (in cream or grape), $30, and ribbed skirt, about $50, bebebabble.com: Again, so chic and so classic. She won't cringe when she sees a picture of herself in this outfit in ten years. link

3. Kico Kids Cascade Cardigan, $67.50, olliebollen.com: A goldenrod cardigan with tulle trim? Puh-leeze. If only it came in my size...
link

4. Cotton knit butterfly sleeve shell, $42, Kicokids.com: Love the preppy red and white stripes, and the girly sleeves. link

5. Bow front mock bandeau top, $54, Kicokids.com: This is what I would design if I had the talent. link

6. Ruffle knit dress, $70, La Di Da: Gulp. I. Must. Have. This. Dress. It is sold out everywhere, but I will scour the net until I find it! link

P.S. After posting this, I was surfing and noticed that Lola already owns something by Kico Kids, and I didn't know it. It's this lovely blue and green crochet dress that she has... It's a size 2, but it's just starting to fit properly, so the line runs a little big. link
