A Day in the Life

Yesterday, as I scoured the playroom in search of Lola's sippy cup for the umpteenth time, I started to mentally calculate how much of my time every day is spent doing these types of tasks, and a comical (to me, at least) idea came to me. I decided to do a breakdown of a typical day. This has nothing to do with math (the percentages don't add up to 100 - I'm no math major, and a mother gives so much more than 100% every day), so just for fun, here it is:

Task Percentage of Day Spent Doing It
Looking for sippy cups: 10%
Changing a screaming Eva's diapers 20%
Serving, feeding, and cleaning up meals and snacks 90%
Breaking up sibling battles 22% (more every day)
Listing to Eva screaming 139%
Listening to Lola whining 80%
Sending Lola to her room 5%
Teaching Eva to sign please instead of screaming 10%
Reminding Lola to say please instead of demanding 10%
Reheating a cup of tea that I will never drink 2%
Not eating 50%
Talking to friends, scheduling playdates, checking email 3%
Playing, kissing and cuddling: 90%
Putting babies to bed/naps: 30%
Wiping bottoms after potty use: 5%
Crying alone in the bathroom (just kidding - sort of) 0%
Total: 466% (I think, but like I said, I'm no math major)
