Mama Mio Product Review
During my pregnancy, I discovered a line of products designed specifically for the changing bodies of pregnant women, called Mama Mio. I interviewed one of the three, very-hip-mommy founders, Tania, and loved her philosophy and her honesty. She confesses that while nothing is proven to prevent stretch marks, there is no harm in trying! In the meantime, you're pampering yourself and caring for your dry, itchy skin. I used Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Oil religiously during my pregnancy, morning and night, front and back, from the bust to the knees, and I have no stretch marks! So say what you want, but it worked for me... : )) Anway, now that the babies are born and I'm done nursing, I need to get back on track, and for me that means treating the saggy skin on my breasts and tummy. For this, Mama Mio has a plan that includes exercises to supplement the work of the products (check out the Bootcamp for Boobs), which are fabulous. I have to confess that I have yet to start exercising, but I have been using the products, morning and night, and this is what I think:
Boob Tube: These days, if it isn't easy, I'm not doing it. It has to be quick and hassle-free. That's why I love this product. First, it comes in a convenient pump, and not a messy jar. Second, it's light, non-greasy, and smells great. And third - it works fabulously well. You are supposed to use two pumps worth of product, from just below the neck to just below the boobs, morning and night. It absorbs instantly so you can get dressed right away, and it's not greasy so I don't even always wash it off my hands if I don't have the time. I have been using it for a few weeks now, and I've definitely noticed an improvement! The skin on my breasts is firmer and tighter and it seems smoother somehow and less crepey. It also looks brighter and fresher. This is definitely a must-have. It works so well, that I can't even imagine the results if I actually did the entire boot camp, which I will start doing and review here as well.
Tummy Toner Firming Serum: Again, I love how easy this is to use. It comes in the same easy pump-type bottle as the Boob Tube. It's a lightweight, refreshing gel that absorbs instantly and is completely non greasy. The skin on my stomach has been the bane of my existence since having my babies. It is saggy and crepey and just a disaster. Since I've started using this, I've noticed that everything feels tighter and that the skin isn't as wrinkly as it used to be. And it's SOOO easy! No sweating required. I can't imagine the improvement I'd see if I actually made an effort and did some crunches. I'm so motivated by the results that I might just start...
