The Best Compliment?
This weekend was Homecoming at my college, and I ran into some old friends. "It must be the asbestos or something," one of them joked, "because we all look exactly the same. You haven't changed at all." This particular group of friends looked amazingly youthful - I would have known them anywhere. I loved hearing that I looked similar to how I looked in college - though perhaps with slightly tamer hair -but I know not all of it is the natural result of healthy living and good genes. But is the assitance of a little Botox and Juvederm so much different than working out and taking care of your skin? Not in my opinion. The way I see it, taking care of yourself, even if it goes beyond the basics, earns you the right to compliments about your youthfulness. After all, you've earned it much more than someone who doesn't have to work at it. : )) These days, as I get older, looking good is as much about science and art as it is about luck and providence.
