No Shopping?
Today, I've decided that, for the entire month of June, I am not going to buy anything but necessities. And that, as much as I might feel otherwise, shoes are not a necessity. Not when you have a couple hundred pairs collecting dust in your closet because you have two babies and never go anywhere. So basically that means I'm limited to groceries, diapers, and the occasional gift. This decision came about when I thought of how much time I actually devote to shopping. Now that Eva goes down at around 7, I spend every evening either online or at the mall, buying, buying, buying. And don't get me wrong - I love it, and I'm not going to stop shopping forever, although one month really does feel like an eternity. I just decided that there are other things I could be doing with that time - organizing my house, updating my babies' journals and working on their baby books; writing my next book, blogging... What could I do with a couple of extra hours every day? I plan to find out! And I'll keep you posted...
